FINDING DIGITAL BALANCE
Technology has become embedded in almost every aspect of modern life. This has resulted in devices, screens and social media having an influence on the way people think, feel, act and use their time.
This workshop explores practical strategies to help students form healthy digital habits, designed to protect key wellbeing areas and find ‘digital balance.’
Year Levels: Year 10-12
Structure: 1 x 55-70 minute high impact keynote
STUDENTS WILL:

Investigate the rise of screen time and its impact on passive consumption and everyday life

Explore key concepts of technology reliance, including dopamine, reward and addiction to understand the role these have on influencing mental wellbeing

Understand how devices and social media shape and influence friendships and relationships

Implement practical strategies that limit their devices' impact on focus, study and sleep

Optional: This adaptation gives schools the option for senior students to bring their personal devices to the program. Students will be encouraged to investigate their screen time trends and digital habits, whilst creating personalised adaptations to their own phones.
